[Summary of the lecture] How do we get chemical information utilized in environmental chemistry and geochemistry? This course explains various samples used in environmental chemistry and geochemistry and their analytical methods and handling method of experimental data.
[Aim of the lecture] The main purpose of this course is to learn principle and how to use of instruments and handling method of experimental data used in geochemistry.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
(1) Explain sampling method, preparation method and analytical method of various samples used in environmental chemistry and geochemistry.
(2) Explain qualification and quantification analyses of elements, separation methods and isotopic measurements of chemical compounds, and state analysis of elements.
(3) Explain isotopic measurements of light elements.
(4) Explain handling method of experimental data.

At the end of each class, students are given exercise problems related to the lecture given that day to solve. Before coming to class, students should read the textbook and have questions that need discussing ready.
