[Description of this course] This course will focus on thermodynamics and the kinetic theory of gases required for the design and optimization of chemical processes. Some exercises concerning thermodynamics and transport properties will also be conducted.
[Aim of this course] This course aims for students to understand phase equilibrium and chemical equilibrium and how to estimate transport properties required for the design and optimization of reaction and separation processes.

Students will be evaluated based on their understanding of phase equilibrium, the kinetic theory of gases, and chemical equilibrium. Students' course score will be decided by considering all of homework, exercise (attendance), final exam.
