This lecture aims at introducing various metallic materials for aerospace applications. The main focus is on the interest of thermodynamics for the understanding and modelling of phase transformations, alloy design, in the field of aerospace applications.
Students will learn examples of aerospace applications of metallurgy, and will be introduced to thermodynamic modelling.
