Course description and aims

The students take lectures and exercises to acquire skills in team building, industrial design, and business planning necessary for the creation of start-up companies and the creation of new businesses by existing companies. Through this course, students will also learn the current status of various start-up companies, especially in the fields of biotechnology, medicine, and healthcare, as well as the basics of intellectual property strategy necessary for start-up companies. Students will experience the startup process through group work under the guidance of various startup companies and people with experience in commercialization.

By taking this course, students will acquire the following abilities
1) Entrepreneurial spirit and creativity through learning design thinking, entrepreneurship, and the commercialization process.
2) Active learning and teamwork skills through group commercialization exercises.
3) Skills to maximize team activities of members with different professional and cultural backgrounds.
