This course is an introduction to the field of polymer science, providing an overview of the synthesis, structure and properties of polymers. In addition, this course is to explain topics of high performance polymers and functional polymers and natural polymeric compounds and bio-polymers.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
1)Explain the basic reaction in polymer synthesis.
2)Describe the structures of polymers.
3)Explain the basic concept of polymer solution
4)Explain the relation between the structures and properties of polymers.
5)Describe the various properties of polymers.
6)Explain high-performance polymers and functional polymers.
7)Explain bio-polymers.
