Course description and aims

This course is for students who wish to go on to the doctoral degree program after completing the master's degree program in one and a half years. Through this course, students acquire advanced expertise and skills related to environmental analysis that will be necessary for conducting research in the PhD program. It centers on guidance by the academic supervisor and teaching staffs in related fields. Students must have their study contents and program authorized in advance at a faculty meeting, so students should consult closely with their academic supervisors.

Student learning outcomes

-Students shall conduct their studies according to the approved study plans.
- Students shall submit master theses and make their master research presentations if the requirement for shortening the master's degree program (at least one paper with full review submitted) is met.
- Students will orally present their research results at the research results presentation meeting (interim master research presentation meeting) if the above requirement for shortening the master's degree program is met.

Assessment criteria and methods

Three professors including the academic supervisor will evaluate the study achievement. Awarding the credits shall be decided at the department faculty meeting.
