Course description and aims

Students in this course choose a topic to present on in English. Topics include research topics, future plans, and the culture or nature of their home countries. Students must take into consideration the various scientific and cultural backgrounds of their audience when making their presentations. The objective of this course is to deepen the mutual understanding among international students on the one hand, and among international students and Japanese students on the other hand through communication.

Student learning outcomes

Students will improve their presentation skills in English. A deeper mutual understanding with students from other countries will form.

Class flow

Students will give a 15 minute presentation in English, and hold a Q&A. The listeners should participate actively in the Q&A.
