Course description and aims

In this course, students choose one topic from several on which to make a presentation in English. Topics include research topics and the future, or the culture and nature of one's native country. The presenter must keep in mind that the audience has a variety of scientific and cultural backgrounds. The purpose of this lecture is to deepen the mutual understanding between exchange students on the one hand, and between exchange students and Japanese students on the other hand, by communicating with one another.

Student learning outcomes

Students will improve their presentation skills in English. A deeper mutual understanding with students from other countries will form.

Class flow

Students will give a 15 minute presentation in English, and hold a Q&A. The listeners should participate actively in the Q&A.
