In order to conduct research in graduate program, it is essential for a student to comprehend literature of his/her own field accurately and to appropriately communicate the contents with others.
In this course, students read recent academic literature of his/her own field and practice communication skills by conveying its contents.
Through this course, students will obtain the following skills:
(1) to comprehend literature of their own fields accurately and deeply
(2) to communicate the research contents to others appropriately
(3) to read works of others critically and extract the useful information to their own research.

1). Students must be a member of one of the laboratories in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Economics.
2). Students must have completed the 200- and 300-level basic courses offered by the Industrial Engineering and Economics undergraduate major or have equivalent knowledge.
