This course focuses on participating in the off-campus projects longer than three months.
The aim of this course is to improve students' skills to solve new issues in research, creation, and technology development in architecture and building engineering.
Students will acquire the following abilities by taking this course: 1) Ability to utilize specialist knowledge to lead research, creation, and technology development in architecture and building engineering in a practical direction 2) Ability to systematize research, creation, and technology development with an awareness of their trends and an international perspective 3) Basic international communication skills

Students generally follow the business operations at host organizations, working for a certain amount of time, gaining practical expertise and experience.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend a certain length of time outside of class on preparation and review (including for assignments), as specified by the Tokyo Institute of Technology Rules on Undergraduate Learning (東京工業大学学修規程) and the Tokyo Institute of Technology Rules on Graduate Learning (東京工業大学大学院学修規程), for each class.

Students will be evaluated based on the performance evaluations by the host organizations and reports submitted by students.
Students must be a member of one of the laboratories in the Department of Architecture and Building Engineering.
