The purpose of this course is to enable students to develop logical thinking, project management and international negotiation capabilities by participating in a research and development project of a company or an overseas institution.
Students will acquire skills that they need in order to be consummate researchers and engineers capable of working anywhere in the world.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend a certain length of time outside of class on preparation and review (including for assignments), as specified by the Tokyo Institute of Technology Rules on Undergraduate Learning (東京工業大学学修規程) and the Tokyo Institute of Technology Rules on Graduate Learning (東京工業大学大学院学修規程), for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.

1. Students must have successfully completed Special Research A or B of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
2. Students must be a member of one of the laboratories in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
3. Students must be a member of Integrated Doctoral Education Program.
