Students are required to conduct computer simulations of real data transmission, which aims to make the students deeply understand digital modulation/demodulation, error detection codes, and protocols of data transmission.
The purposes of the experiment are to quantitatively evaluate how severely noise and fading deteriorate transmission performance of the data transmission, and to learn some techniques for computer simulations.
