Course description and aims

This course instructs skills to write reports and papers and to make presentations in Japanese in order for others to understand the contents correctly. It gives how to summarize in Japanese in comparison with in English. Targets of this course include presentation types and their features, research presentations and ethic, constructions of papers and presentations, writing papers, ways to write sentences and summary, drawing of figures and tables, making of slides and poster, search of papers and patents and presentation methods.

Student learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Write papers and reports in Japanese.
2) Make figures, tables, slides and posters to understand easily.
3) Make presentation for others to understand correctly.
4) Search information on papers and patents.

Assessment criteria and methods

The lectures and the laboratory works are separately evaluated. The credit is given when the both evaluations are satisfied. The evaluation for the lecture is done by exercises and homework.
