Course description and aims

【 Overview 】
As for the plastic forming which is one of the typical processing method of the metal material, the basic principle and the typical metalforming technologies are lectured.
【 Aim 】
Metalforming has long history, but is widely used in industrially as the most advanced processing technology.
The goal of this lecture is understanding on its thoretical system and practical manufacturing technologies to achieve true ability of manufacturing.

Class flow

First, characteristics of metal forming technique, the role, the technological meaning, the industrial meaning, the social impact of the plastic forming technology are lectured.
Next, basics of plasticity theory that suports metal forming techonology is lectured.
After that, the principle, a characteristic, a problem and facilities of metal forming are explained.
