[Overview]
Securing energy sources is essential for managing modern life. However, as we try to maintain current living standards, and the global population increases and urbanization expands, we also have to overcome the global warming, which is rearing its head. This course gives an overview of the global efforts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, mainly from the perspectives of energy science, environmental science, sociology, and technology. Students will debate in teams about assigned topics.
This 5 day intensive course is held in collaboration with Okayama University, Osaka University, etc. during summer vacation at Okayama University.

Students will acquire a multifaceted perspective of dilemmas in securing energy sources and measures taken against global warming.
A student will acquire a multifaceted perspective on global warming that is necessary for working in the nuclear power industry.
