Course description and aims

To foster the creativity and planning skills about research and development in human centered sciences and biomedical engineering fields and the scientific communication with the students from different research fields, the students make plans to develop new industrial products (goods) in teams (3-4 students).

Student learning outcomes

By completing this course, students develop the following abilities:
1) Specialized practical skills to translate basic sciences into practical products (systems) on healthcare and midical R&D fields.
2) Communication and presentation skills to progress practical R&D on healthcare and midical R&D fields.

Class flow

Main practice in this course is collaborating work with team members. In the middle of the term, instructors advise about the progress of each team if students need it. In the final class, all teams give the presentations of their plans for development of a new product or system.
