Course description and aims

This course focuses on mechanical systems design and project management techniques. In this course, Tokyo Tech students visit a university abroad and take classes together with other students in the visited university and other universities abroad. A project of development of mechanical systems will be conducted by international group work. In order to create a mechanical system fulfilling a demand, students will discuss, design and test recursively based on their all of engineering knowledge with foreign students.
Through the project work, students will master basic skills of mechanical design, international team work to realize ideas, and presentation.

Student learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) solve issues by communication and discussion with other members in international team.
2) design and development mechanical systems fulfilling demands
3) realize ideas with adequate project management.
4) present results effectively in English.
