This course aims to improve the abilities and skills that will be required for students to conduct a research project and make a research presentation.
This course consists of two parts. In the first part, faculties will introduce cutting-edge research topics from different research groups in civil and environmental engineering department. In the second part, students will conduct their small research project in the selected research topics under supervision of faculties via laboratory experiment, numerical simulation, field trip, and previous research review activities.

Student learning outcomes

(1) Learn basic approach to research through a small project and coaching by your teacher.
(2) Acquire the habit of self-learning and planning practice via subjective prosecution.
(3) Acquire ability to convey your achievement to others through technical writing.
(4) Acquire ability to convey your achievement to others through oral presentation.
