Course description and aims

The engineer should decide complex system plan, design condition of various kinds of elements composing the system, etc. In this subject, system synthesis is first outlined as an area in system engineering, which treats whole project of systems, and, secondly, the basic synthesis of production process is studied as an example of typical system synthesis.

Student learning outcomes

After studying this subject, the students should be able to synthesize the designs of complex system, such as, production process.

Keywords

System, System synthesis, System engineering, Problem-solving, Production process

Competencies that will be developed

Specialist skills Intercultural skills Communication skills Critical thinking skills Practical and/or problem-solving skills

Class flow

The course is composed of lectures and exercises, and a final exam is provided.
