This lecture is intended to teach the basics of machining, that is the process of creating the shape of the products. Students understand machining methods by an overview and performing the training of turning, milling, versatile milling, NC milling, arc welding, design & machining using 3-D CAD / CAM system.
The aim of this course is to make students understand what process has been done in the field of Monotsukuri by teaching basics of machining, and grow multifaceted thinking by considering the connection with its own major.
By the end of this course,
1) Students who are not mechanical engineering major understand the fundamentals of machining.
2) Allow the students to operate lathe, milling machine, versatile milling machine, NC milling machine and arc welding under supervision of the instructors.
Machining, turning, lathe, milling machine, numerical control, 3D CAD, accuracy, welding
