Course description and aims

The main subject of this course is the theory of reaction-diffusion equations.
We learn scalar reaction-diffusion equations.
This course is followed by Advanced courses in Analysis D1.

Class 2 Characteristic solutions for reaction-diffusion equations Details will be provided during each class session.
Class 3 Fundamental properties of scaler reaction-diffusion equtions Details will be provided during each class session.
Class 4 Scalar reaction-diffusion equations on bounded domains Details will be provided during each class session.
Class 5 Scalar reaction-diffusion equations on intervals Details will be provided during each class session.
Class 6 Fujita equation Details will be provided during each class session.
Class 7 Fisher equation Details will be provided during each class session.

Out-of-Class Study Time (Preparation and Review)

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
