Course description and aims

It is known that the ABJM theory, which is a low-energy effective theory on the M2-branes, is dual to the M-theory on AdS(4)xS(7) from the AdS/CFT correspondence. Recently there has been much progress in understanding non-perturbative effects in M-theory through the analysis of the partition function of the ABJM theory on the sphere. In this lecture we review recent developments in non-perturbative effects in the ABJM theory.
