Course description and aims

Hold a colloquium where the doctor course students present the status of their thesis works.

Aiming to foster the ability to explain the specialized doctor thesis works to the students from the other physics fields, based on the deep understanding of their own topics.

Student learning outcomes

This colloquium can be also considered as the opportunity to present their status reports of the doctor thesis works.
The students are expected to take advantage of using this colloquium as a good feedback to their works, by knowing the others status, by hearing the latest news in the other fields, and by discussing on their own topics.

holding a colloquium and all the registered doctor course students give talks, and participate in the discussions.

Class 1 The organization of the colloquium, such as call for the talks, making agenda will be carried out by the professor in charge. The setup of the meeting room, the session chairs, etc are organized by the students. The talks will be scored based on the following two points. 1) whether the talk is well understood by the other students/faculty members from the other physics fields. 2) whether the work is considered to be well advanced and has an importance in the field through the talk and discussion.
