Course description and aims

The aim of this course is for the students to develop the ability, through experiences at compnies and research institutions, to discover up-to-date problems and relevant subjects in their own research area and apply their mathematical knowledge to them, or to enhance mathematical sciences by incorporating the knowldege they have discovered.

Student learning outcomes

(1) To experience research and development in the real world.
(2) To be able to publish the results (presentation, report).
(3) To be able to have effective discussions and communications in research activities.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
