Course description and aims

Mathematical Science is an interdisciplinary field, and graduates of Dept. of Mathematics are expected to be active in various fields in society. For these purposes, it is indispensable to develop skills to plan their own career and transmit their research results to society. In this course, students will make and carry out a plan for the development of these skills by themselves.

Student learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to enhance their career development skills by their own learning program.

Examples of the programs: - participate seminars or colloquiums for mathematical researchers including non-experts of the topics. - participate the presentation meeting held at the end of the first year. - plan and organize an outreach activity to give research results back to a community. To make a plan by oneself, carry out it, and enhance career development skills
