This course is for those who have taken Independent Research Project (Mathematics) and want to deepen their understanding in the chosen subject area. Consulting the supervisor, students choose literature, study it, and give oral presentations and have discussions on the subject. It is hoped for that students understand most deeply the topics which are studied actively today in the area they have chosen, and find the theme of their own future reseach.
1. To understand important theories and problems in mathematics, and their positions in science in general.
2. To be able to apply various general theories to concrete problems.
3. To be able to explain logically to others various concepts in mathematics. To be able to describe them, by written language, at the level normally required in mathematics and other sciences.
