Course description and aims
This course offers the chance for new students enrolled in the School of Science to be exposed to the current status, global view or methodology of various branches of advanced science. Also, it includes lectures on internationality and research ethics.
Student learning outcomes
The students are expected to
1) be introduced to some of advanced studies in the fields of Departments related with the School of Science,
2) obtain information useful to choose proper Department for further study from sophomore,
3) deepen their understanding of internationality and research ethics.

Class flow
This course consists of four lectures by representatives of the Departments in the School of Science, namely the Department of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Earth and Planetary Sciences, and also one for internationality and the last one for research ethics.
