Course description and aims

As finishing stage of the Dojo program, Dojo for Management and Society: Completion Projects B aims to enhance students' leadership through setting problem in the global society including business activities, showing the solution for the problem, and demonstrating its value and effect.
Students set the social problem that should be solved by themselves, get feedback from the society while deriving the solution, and achieve a project in which he/she implements the solution and receives evaluations. In the project, students deepen their understanding about the leadership recognized by the society, and acquire mindset to act up to it.

Student learning outcomes

At the end of this course, students will be able to:
(1) Set the social problem that should be solved by themselves, and derive the solution for it.
(2) Improve the solution so as to be more realistic by receiving feedback from the society.
(3) Achieve the project that implements the solution in the society with impact.
(4) Involving others, show leadership in the project.

Class flow

Process of classes depends on the character of Dojo and the theme of each class, but generally students set the social problem and its goal first, and then accomplish the project including activities that getting feedback from the society, implementation and evaluation of the solution, and so on under the close supervision of the master of Dojo. In the cooperation with the society, extracurricular activity may be required.

Assessment criteria and methods

Students will be assessed on the achievement of the learning outcomes such as setting the social problem, derivation of the solution for it, achievement of the project that implements the solution in the society with impact, and leadership shown in the project.
