Course description and aims

Further to the presentation to be made by the professionals who are creating leading edge of values (innovations) in various fields including enterprises, start ups, NPO/NGO, journalism, government and academic, students are going to be encouraged to derive their necessary information and/or answers from the professionals. Students are being expected to find (1) multidimensional perspective and (2) excitement for creating value to the society from the communication with such professionals. Basically, Guest Speakers are being changed in every term.

Student learning outcomes

Students are being expected to appreciate the difference about concepts of value between you and others, and to understand the society exist by various kind of concepts of value, not only perspective and way of thinking around you. Purposes of the sessions are not only hearing the experiences made by the professionals, but also understanding the purpose of those professionals’ activities and training how the students make guest speakers say what the students want to hear.

Class flow

Professionals are presenting the leading edge of information about their business, development, vision of their activities, and problems to be overcome to the students and the students, then try to drive answers/necessary information from the guest speakers. Students are being requested to engage in preparation work; to research outline of the organization the professionals are belonging and to clarify aims for having communication with them, in advance.
Note 1: Actual schedule and guest speakers( and theme) will be presented by the end of Mar/2021 via web site of Tokto Tech Academy for Leadership(ToTAL)/Open Programs.
Note 2: “Persons-in-charge” for each Advanced Information Sharing will be decided in the orientation.

1. 30%; Attendance
2. 30%; contribution to Advanced Information Sharing
3. 30%; asking questions and presenting opinions proactively to the guest speaker(s)
4. 10%; efforts to try to pull-put information and/or comments, which the student want to hear, from the guest speakers

1. Depend on the guest speakers’ convenience, the venue (either O-okayama or Suzukaked-dai) would be decided. If, however, students can access by remote system from O-okayama or Suzukake-dai.
