Course description and aims
This course aims to cultivate the basis of students' abilities to recognize the role that they should play in a team of different expertise, to present vision by themselves or to share the vision of others, to build consensus with the community of stakeholders, and to make the consensus into a concrete shape by using his/her own expertise and abilities of others. In addition, each student will present in class what they have done so far with their own leadership and how they would like to develop these in the future, and will receive feedback from students and faculty with different specialties.
Student learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
(1) learn communication tools that work effectively in the multidisciplinary teams; set personal learning goals to be an effective team member.
(2) develop relationship-building skills to connect with people from different disciplines; logical explanation, effective presentation.
(3) develop practical skills to realize one's idea and present the new value; planning, concept-building, execution.
(4) set the long-term goal achieved by taking leadership, with clear motivation.

Class flow
This course consists of workshops aimed to learn personal goal setting, ideation process, logical thinking, prototyping, etc. Workshop themes are selected to help students' understanding of useful concepts and practical methods to develop leadership. The theme setting of each workshop/discussion depends on the students' intentions and the social situation at the time.
Schedule and policy of the course will be explained in an orientation session held at the beginning of each semester (class S: end of April, schedule will be announced at the end of March; class F: orientation will be at the end of September, schedule will be announced at the end of August).

| Class 1 | Select the workshops you are interested in from the wokshop list shown at the orientation session. (Example 1) Leadership core program Students will set their personal long-term goals by deepening their thoughts by sharing their opinions and giving/getting feedback on what they want to do with their leadership. The following menus will be offered in the class to learn through experience and reflection about how your leadership and growth is promoted and transformed through the relationships with others. ・ Team building practice ・ Goal setting by self-reflection and mutual interview ・ Presentation of your research theme or project ・ Project facilitation exercise ・ Theme discussion in small groups (Example 2) Design Thinking Workshop Learn idea generation, user-centered needs identification, task setting, and prototyping through group work. (Example 3) Book Dialogue on Leadership Participants engage in dialogue about books that enhance leadership and insight into future society. (Example 4) Creativity Restoration Program by Art Through appreciation and creation of art, students expand the boundaries of thinking and emotions, develop the imagination to create new value, and build confidence to express themselves through the creation of art.
