This course introduces Southeast Asia from various perspectives. Southeast Asia is a region with the commonality of tropical and marine Asia. At the same time, Southeast Asia, which is located at a crossroad of the Asian maritime route, has formed a society with a certain degree of diversity through exchanging such as cultures, people and goods, with various regions in the East and West. One example is coexistence of religion, such as Buddhism, Islam, Christianity etc. From the viewpoint of interactions in various forms, the course draws the figure of Southeast Asia growing in the process of incorporating foreign elements.
