This course provides an overview of separation operations. Then basic equilibrium and design methods are presented for unit operations of distillation, absorption, extraction, adsorption, chromatography, crystallization, evaporation, humidity conditioning, drying, membrane separation for water and gas and vapor membrane separation.
The aim of this course is learning model making of each unit operation and individual design method.
Aim: Understanding of basic equilibrium and equipment or process model in each unit operations. Gaining skills on equipment design.
Theme: This course teaches equilibrium relations and kinetics of mass transfer operations by calculation examples.
