講義概要

　本講義では、環境、地域、福祉、格差、平和、教育などの社会問題について、異なる考えを共有しながら理解を深めるとともに、こうした課題と対峙しながらグローバルに活躍するリーダーに必要な資質について考察します。
　講義は、ダイアローグ形式で進めます。各回のトピックについて自分の考えを振り返り、その根底にある価値観・世界観を紐解きながら、他者と考えを共有します。視点の多様性を生かして社会問題への理解を深めるとともに、リーダーとしてそれらの問題にどのように対峙すべきかを考えていきます。ダイアローグを通して、自己表現力、コミュニケーション力、探究力、論理的思考力、ファシリテーション力などを高めていきます。
　本講義は、グローバルリーダー教育院（AGL）所属希望者の必修科目として位置づけられていますが、希望者以外も履修可能です。
　The course on Fundamentals of Humanity 1 is designed to provide students with opportunities to consider various social issues such as environment, community, wellness, poverty, peace and education. Students also discuss the role of the leader facing these issues in a global society. This course incorporates the method of philosophical dialogue, in which students are encouraged to reflect on their own thinking, to express their ideas, and to share their views with others. The process of multi-perspectival inquiry helps us to deepen our understanding about the world; by sharing different points of view, students inquire into the role of the global leader. Students and teachers work on cultivating their abilities to express themselves, to communicate with others, to inquire into topics, to think logically and to facilitate dialogue sessions.
Although this course is one of the compulsory subjects for those who intend to apply for the “Academy for Global Leadership (AGL) Program”, all Master-PhD candidates are welcome.

講義の目的

　本講義では、さまざまな社会問題をトピックとして対話を行い、異なる視点の共有を通して多角的に問題を捉える力を高めます。社会問題についての議論をもとにグローバルリーダーに何が求められているかを考え、リーダーの資質についての理解を深めていきます。また、対話形式の講義を通して、以下の５つの力を育むことを目的とします。
① 自己表現力—自分の考えと根底にある価値観・世界観を認識し他者と共有する力
② 対話力—異なる視点を重ねながら物事の本質を深く突き詰めていく力
③ 探究力—問いをたてながら課題について考え続ける力
④ 論理的思考力—根拠を示しながら自分の考えを論理的に分析・表現する力
⑤ ファシリテーション力—多彩な視点が集う対話のセーフティを作り出す力
　In this Course, students engage in dialogue on various social issues and broaden their perspective on how they view the world. They consider critical roles of global leadership by exchanging ideas with each other. Dialogue sessions are designed to strengthen the following five abilities:
① Self-expression: to be aware of one’s own thinking and values, and to express them,
② Dialogical thinking: to connect different points of view and deepen understanding,
③ Philosophical inquiry: to develop questions and to examine topics by asking further,
④ Logical reasoning: to build one’s own ideas using evidences and analyzing them,
⑤ Facilitation: to work on creating an intellectually safe community in which people can learn from various points of view
