講義概要
国際会議などの場で自らの意見を正確に伝達する高度の口頭表現技法を身につけるための訓練を行う。
講義の目的
This class is aimed at exposing students to various kinds of scientific and technological literature (newspaper and magazine articles, non-fiction books, documentaries, scientific fiction, TV programs and movies) in the English language, and to encourage discussion by the students about the various topics using their English skills.
講義計画
Students will be expected to read and prepare materials every week in advance of their choosing at the end of the semester. Short quizzes will be given each week on vocabulary and comprehension. One or two essays will also be assigned at some time during the semester.

成績評価
Grades will depend on weekly attendance, participation, quizzes, essays, and final presentation. Students are expected to attend every week; four or more absences will result in no credit for the course.
