Outline of lecture

Assumed students are those who major chemistry and have never learned biology. To interest such students in biology, in this lecture, topics in biochemistry are sorted by the elements that play important roles in those topics. Every class picks one or two elements, and lecturers will tell how those elements function in organisms, especially in human body. This lecture is given in English.

Purpose of lecture

Tell what kind of elements play important role in organisms to students who have never learned biology.

Plan of lecture

Every class picks up one or two elements from the periodic table, and tell what kind of biological activities are related to those elements.
