Outline of the lectures:
1. General principles and governing equations for fluid
2. Basic Numerical schemes
3. Numerical solutions for typical differential equations
4. Numerical methods for incompressible flow
5. Numerical methods for compressible flow
6. Numerical models for turbulent flow
7. High performance computing (parallel, GPU computing etc.)
8. Advanced topics
This English course presents the fundamental knowledge and preliminary applications of computational fluid dynamics, as well as efficient implementations on advanced hardware architectures. The students are expected to be able to use numerical methods to solve some typical problems in fluid dynamics through class instructions, exercises and programming practices.
