This course discusses the basic theory of probability and stochastic process with some applications to the earthquake engineering. As the applications, techniques of analysis for array observation data of microtremors are dealt with: that is, spatial auto-correlation (SPAC) method and so on. The students are encouraged to study with the course 窶廬ntroduction to time-frequency analysis窶.

The grading policy is based on a project and its presentation.
