人間社会に大きな影響を及ぼす地震などの自然災害をとり扱うにあたって必要となる数学的手法の1つとしての確率過程論について,基礎から実用的な応用例までを講述する。
This course discusses the basic theory of probability and stochastic process with some applications to the earthquake engineering. As the applications, techniques of analysis for array observation data of microtremors are dealt with: that is, spatial auto-correlation (SPAC) method and so on. The students are encouraged to study with the course “Introduction to time-frequency analysis”.
The grading policy is based on a project and its presentation.
