The objective of the course is to familiarize you with the recent developments of IT and its use in various facets of management. Specifically, the course aims to help you in not overestimating nor underestimating the potentials and implications of IT to the management of organisations, when making management judgement in strategic and/or functional issues.

The course is based on the textbook (see above), but comprises a mixture of readings, lectures, mini cases, exercises and projects. For each class, you are expected to read the assigned section of the textbook and to be ready to participate in the class. Do understand that a course is a collective learning experience, and so you are expected to learn from others as well as yourself contributing to the learning of your fellow students, and even of the instructor. Remember that ultimately, you are the one responsible for your own learning, not your colleagues nor your instructor. If you are not prepared for the class, please do not come.
