This course introduces networking and application protocols used in the Internet, which are bases for learning information systems. This course is intended for anyone wishing to understand how TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol), DNS (Domain Name System), SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol), and HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol) protocols operate. In order to understand how these protocols operate, a popular diagnostic tool to watch the protocols in action will be used.
