Outline of lecture

Electromagnetic boundary value problems are discussed.
Wave equations together with the mechanism of wave phenomena are interpreleted.

It provides the basic methodology and the interpretation in the boundary value problems of electromagnetic waves. Some canonical problems in electromagnetic wave scattering are solved. Important concept of 窶彷ield equivalence theorem窶 is explained. The following topics are included.

Purpose of lecture

The objective of this course is to provide the basic methodology and the interpretation in the boundary value problems of electromagnetic waves. Some canonical problems in electromagnetic wave scattering are solved. Important concept of 窶彷ield equivalence theorem窶 is explained.

01. Solutions for homogeneous equations.
02. Scattering in a shorted parallel plates (Summation form)
03. Scattering in a shorted parallel plates (Integral form)
04. Equivalence between summation and integral forms
05. Scattering by a cylinder
06. Diffraction from a half plane.
07. Radiation from a source.
08. Solutions for homogeneous equations.
09. Dipole, Uniqueness, Poynting Theorem, Far field.
10. Derivation and interpretation of Maxwell窶冱 equations.
11. Direct integration of the field equations.
12. Field equivalence theorem.
13. Boundary, edge and radiation conditions.
