講義概要
技術イノベーションと産業の発展および標準化の関わりを鉄道を例に学ぶ。あわせて標準化の基礎を学習する。また現在抱える課題が多かれ少なかれ他産業で経験していることから，技術と事業と標準化について考察する。授業の前半を講義，後半を討論とする。討論は，テーマを定めて行い，国際的に通用する討論の進め方を経験する。
講義の目的
現在携帯電話などにみられるように，技術で優れている企業がビジネスで成功していない事例が数多く見受けられるようになってきており，標準化の重要性，ビジネス戦略と標準化戦略の大切さが叫ばれているが，人材育成が課題となっている。本講義は標準化の基礎を取得しつつ，議論のルールを体得し，国際的な議論に慣れることを目的とする。
