Outline of lecture
(Recently, sensors, actuators, chemical/biological-analysis chips and many other devices in micro-metered scale can be synthesized, because micro/nano-metered scale structure can be manufactured due to the progress of up-to-date fabrication technology. Such devices can work utilizing the advantages of scale effect. However, most of manipulating, assembling and packaging techniques for such fabricated micro-parts have not yet been well-developed and still been investigated at research stage. These techniques need to be more rapidly developed for higher functional micro-devices. In this class, the lecturer will introduce to students the latest researches about micro-manipulation and instruct the students how to implement the mechanism into manipulation model (in the cutting-edge research field) based on the fundamental knowledge about mechanical engineering and physics.
