1st Semester (April)(2-0-0)
Prof. Akihiko TANIOKA

The lecture is based on the thermodynamics. At the first step the outlines of equilibrium thermodynamics and non-equilibrium thermodynamics are given. Successively the recent applications based on those thermodynamics, which are membrane and nanofiber, are given.

Purpose of lecture

Students should understand the recent development of the nanomaterials which are nanospaces and nanofibers.

Plan of lecture

1. Introduction
2. Chemical Potential
3. Equilibrium Thermodynamics
4. Non-equilibrium Thermodynamics
5. Adsorption and Diffusion
6. Water and Nanomaterial
7. World Water Problems
8. Solid State Polyelectrolyte
9. Fuel Cell
10. Nanofiber (1)
11. Nanofiber (2)
