This course is for upper-intermediate to advanced English speakers. The classes will focus on studying a selection of current, useful English idioms and idiomatic expressions. Students will gain fluency with the target vocabulary by employing it in activities such as dialogues and role-plays.
The aim of this course is to expand the students’ knowledge of English idioms and idiomatic expressions, and to boost their confidence in using the targeted language fluently.

Throughout this course, students will complete a series of tasks, each consisting of a different selection of idioms and idiomatic expressions. Verbal skills will be exercised in classroom activities such as role-playing dialogues and presentations. The emphasis will be on the practical usage of each task’s targeted language. Feedback will be given and ways to improve language skills suggested.
Print-outs will be provided as needed.
This course is for undergraduates.
The final grade will be allocated based on the following criteria: attendance, class work and participation, and an end of term oral test.
