How do artists become artists? What kind of everyday life do they have? How did they find their way and expression? What are their working methods?
In the morning lecture of the Modern Art Workshop B, "Meeting the Artist", I will introduce four contemporary, internationally active artists
based in Berlin/Germany. In the afternoon workshop we will focus on the creative process, producing two-dimensional artworks, using diverse materials and techniques, like drawing, painting, printing, paper-cut and others.
At the end of the course the students will have the chance to show their artworks in a group exhibition.
The students will achieve personal insight into the every day life and the working methods of artists today in a big city in Europe. The students will learn to express themselves in different materials and techniques. They have the chance to gain deep understanding into the creative process itself.
