Outline:
"COLOR" - the seemingly most common thing - is a fascinating and powerful medium in the visual arts, full of secrets. How is it used by the artists and in which ways does it affect us? During the morning lessons I will introduce different artistic approaches in Western art with a host of visual materials. During the afternoons the students will produce their own art works, mainly 2-dimensional, learning how to express themselves in diverse materials and techniques.
Purpose:
The students have the chance to gain fundamental knowledge about Western artists and important tendencies in the art. They will achieve diverse practical knowledge in drawing, painting, collages etc., expressing themselves in diverse creative approaches.
The class meets on four Saturdays, 10.30 - 17.30 (lunchbreak included)

In the Workshop the students will produce drawings and paintings, by using fresh fruits and vegetables

"Music Becomes Color"
The Russian Painter Vassily Kandinsky
In the workshop the students will transmit sounds and music into drawings and paintings
April 25
"Cutting into Color"
The paintings and paper-cuts of the French painter Henri Matisse
In the workshop the students will produce drawing and collages.
May 2
"The Birth of Color"
The life and art of Vincent van Gogh, Netherlands
In the workshop the students will produce portraits and self-portraits.
