講義概要
In this class we will read selected articles from popular science magazines, newspapers and online resources. In the class, students read through the text while listening to other students’ presentation and write a short essay or answer a series of questions in the last 20 to 30 minutes of the class. Students are also encouraged to propose an article to read in class.
講義の目的
(1) To brush up skills to grasp the overall content of the article without using dictionaries
(2) To brush up skills to read accurately by using dictionaries
(3) To learn different essay styles and apply them to write essays in English
