Outline of lecture

"From Figure to Abstraction" - this immense shift in modern sculpture will be the topic of the Advanced Art Workshop B. Why did the phenomenon arise and how did this complex shift happen in the 20th century? In the morning lectures I will introduce main tendencies and important artists of European sculpture with a host of visual materials. In the afternoons the students will produce 3-dimensional artworks, including a figurative sculpture of clay, using a living model and 3-dimensional objects.
At the end of the course the students have the chance to participate in a group exhibition.

Purpose of lecture
