講義概要
① 講義概要※
このワークショップでは最も一般的且つ基本的な美術表現である絵画の持つ不完全性、そして有効性を議論することにより現代美術への理解を深め、批評的な視点をベースに各自作品を制作し、一つのテーマに沿った展覧会を組み立てます。この講義参加者は講師で世界的に活躍しているKaz Oshiro氏と展覧会を開く予定です（４月２１日から５月２日）。

美術を見る側と作る側では視点が異なります。鑑賞者の立場と制作者の立場を議論し、そして体現する事により現代美術への理解を深める事が目的です。

ディスカッション、プロジェクト等、授業への積極的な参加姿勢を元に総合的に評価します。出席が規定回数に満たない場合、評価の減点対象になります。

題目の「絵画の問題」というと難しく聞こえますが、日常的な視点から解り易く取り組みたいと思っていますので、現代美術に興味があれば是非受講して下さい。

1) Outline of lecture
- Outline
In this workshop, the students will examine and discuss problems of one of the basic practices of art, “painting” to gain a better understand of Contemporary Art issues. Each student will make artwork based on the discussion and present the work in a exhibition.
- Purpose
The experience and appreciation of the physical and intellectual demands required of visual artists in the Art making process.

Student participation in class critiques is extremely important.
Students will assess classmates on critiques.
Participation on project planning and exercises.
Tardiness and absence will result in lower grades.

The title “Thoughts on Painting Problems” may sound intimidating, but I would like to discuss the subject matter as easy as possible by using everyday language. Please join us if you’re interested in Contemporary Art.
